Katie Clark, who was appointed the new commissioner of the Department of Employment and Economic Development last month, is putting her team in place and adding a new top deputy position.
The agency previously had one deputy, but Clark announced today that she'll have two deputies: one for economic development and one for workforce development.
Robin Sternberg, who had been executive director of the Governor's Jobs Initiative, will be deputy of economic development. She has previously been vice president of external relations at Great Neighborhoods Development Corp. and was business development and marketing director at Minnesota Public Radio.
The deputy for workforce development is yet to be named.
Clark also announced that Kevin McKinnon, DEED's director of business development, will be promoted to director of business and community development.
