After losing the 6th District Congressional race to incumbent Republican U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann by a smaller margin that most expected, hotel owner Jim Graves says he has an "open mind" about running again in two years.
Bachmann won by 51 to 49 percent — 180,131 votes to 157,923 — in the district which had been considered safely red.
Graves says many supporters are urging another run in 2014, according to the St. Cloud Times.
And his decision may be determined by Bachmann's future actions in Congress.
"I’ll always keep an open mind," Graves told the paper. "If she comes out and really changes her modus operandi and starts serving the people … I mean, I’m not looking for something to do.
"Maybe one of the byproducts is Michele will become a better congressperson and more responsive. And if so, I’d be happy."
