Colorful lights on the new Lowry Avenue Bridge in Minneapolis will change every five to 10 minutes tonight, as Hennepin County tests the various lighting configurations.
The bridge over the Mississippi River, which opened Oct. 27 and connects the North and Northeast neighborhoods, has built-in high-efficiency, color-adjustable LED lights that can be changed to reflect holidays and events.
Tonight they'll test the various lighting options between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
So to those heading home after happy hour: This is just a test.
