Gov Mark Dayton flew to Washington Thursday night to take part in the National Governors Association Winter Meeting.
Some highlights:
Dayton and other Democratic governors have meetings at the White House this morning. Then he'll take part in the association's executive committee meeting.
On Saturday, he'll take part in a session with Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback and Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon on "Creating an Entrepreneurial Culture for Economic Growth in the States."
Sunday he's in a session on " The World’s Energy Future" with Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy and South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard.
Sunday night he'll attend a White House event with President and Mrs. Obama.
The conference ends Monday, wrapping up with a governors-only meeting with the President at the White House.
Dayton will fly home Monday afternoon.
