The new METRO Red Line bus rapid transit service will start running June 22, taking passengers between the Apple Valley Transit Station and the Mall of America, where it will connect with the Blue Line light rail and other bus lines.
The Red Line buses also will stop at 147th Street and 140th Street in Apple Valley and the Cedar Grove station in Eagan. They'll run every 15 minutes at peak hours and go on bus-only shoulder lanes along Cedar Avenue.
Officials say funding for the project has come from federal, state and regional funds and from the Counties Transit Improvement Board, Dakota County, Apple Valley and Lakeville.
