With statewide redistricting complete, it's now time for Washington County to reset the boundaries of its commissioner districts to reflect the new census numbers.
The board is also considering whether to expand the board's makeup from five to seven commissioners.
On March 13, at its regular 9 a.m. meeting, the board will hear public comment and answer questions about the number of board members. The meeting is in the board room at the county Government Center, 14949 62nd St. N., Stillwater.
The board must adopt a redistricting map by April 20. Also to be determined are which commissioner seats will have four-year terms and which seats will have two-year terms in the 2012 elections, because board members must have staggered terms.
