The local MoveOn.org movement says it plans a protest rally against Bank of America Wednesday at noon in a Minneapolis skyway.
Although the protest appears to be targeted at BoA, organizers say they are gathering in the skyway of the Young Quinlan Building, 81 S. 9th St., in downtown Minneapolis, outside the office of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce.
And the invitation talks of broader protest targets:
A lunch-time protest of banks and politicians dealing with the Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce and, through them, ALEC, the Vikings and other pro sports teams on stadium financing deals, and the Minneapolis City Council members who approved new stadium subsidies and local taxes for it, improvements to Target Center, and covering tax gaps in the still unpaid Xcel Energy Center (a stadium not in Minneapolis or its county).
