Next Tuesday, join Twin Cities Rotaract in volunteering with Cook for Kids at Jeremiah Program in Minneapolis.
Cook for Kids volunteers help purchase, prepare and serve a well-balanced, nutritious, child-friendly meal for families on evenings when mothers attend Life Skills programming.
Jeremiah Program participants have very hectic schedules crammed with work, educational courses and child care duties. Cook for Kids volunteers take away some of the stress of particularly busy evenings by providing dinner.
On Feb. 28, Twin Cities Rotaract will be providing and preparing enough food for approximately 20 adults and 20 children under age five. This includes families, staff and volunteers.
We plan to serve "breakfast for dinner" — pancakes, scrambled eggs, fruit, and bacon or sausage.
The kitchen opens at 4 p.m. and dinner is served from 5:30-6:15 p.m. Clean-up is usually completed by 6:45 p.m.
If you are interested in being in charge of buying and preparing one of the foods for the meal, leave a comment on the event Facebook page. Unclaimed preparation duties will be divvied up among volunteers.

If you are unavailable on the 28th, but are interested in volunteering at Jeremiah Program in the future, visit Jeremiah Program Volunteer Opportunities and fill out a volunteer application form.
