Gov. Mark Dayton has appointed Benton County Attorney Robert Raupp to fill an open judge seat in the state's 7th judicial district in north central Minnesota.
Raupp replaces Judge James Hoolihan, who has retired.
He'll be based in Foley. Previously, Raupp had been the Benton County first assistant county attorney and assistant county attorney. Before that he was a Minneapolis assistant city attorney.
Counties in the state's 7th Judicial District are: Becker, Benton, Clay, Douglas, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Otter Tail, Stearns, Todd, and Wadena.
