A new website with explanations and background on the coming state Health Insurance Exchange was launched Tuesday by the Minnesota Management & Budget department.
The site attempts to show the benefits of the exchange and provide information on how it will work when it goes into effect in 2014.
Pages on the website are focused on individuals and families, small businesses, agents and brokers and health plans.
The state defines the Health Insurance Exchange as "a new central marketplace where individuals, families and small employers can access quality, affordable health insurance and receive tax credits or assistance to help pay for coverage. The exchange will empower families, small businesses, and low-income Minnesotans to choose the quality health coverage they need at a price they can afford."
