David Hough, Hennepin County deputy county administrator, has been named acting county administrator, effective Dec. 29, to replace County Administrator Richard Johnson, who is retiring.
Hough will also be a candidate for the permanent county administrator job, as officials conduct a search.
Hough has served as deputy county administrator since 2008; before that, he was a deputy Hennepin County attorney, serving as the board’s chief legal counsel and representing the county in both civil and criminal matters.
