Stealing Art
WHAT: MCAD Art Sale
WHERE: Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minneapolis

Man to Mom
WHAT: Leslie Jordan’s Fruit Fly
WHERE: Camp Bar and Cabaret, St. Paul
WHEN: 5p.m.
Emmy-winning raconteur Leslie Jordan, the self-proclaimed “gayest man I know,” delves semi-seriously into the question of whether gay men become their mothers. Though that’s mostly a pretext for sharing the hilarious, heart-warming story of his long-ago confession to his steel magnolia of a mom that he was forgoing college to become a female impersonator — and how she bloomed in response. Something to dance about
WHAT: TU Dance

The ninth season of Uri and Toni-Pierce Sands’ troupe includes the premiere of Uri’s Feather and Bone, about the delicate balance of companionship, set to indie-folk and electronic dub music.
