In this video, a worker from the International Wolf Center documents the painstaking process involved in taking a young wolf, Luna, out of the Center's pack for a brief time to have x-rays made of a leg that was previously repaired with screws and a plate. The difficulty lies not so much in the medical procedure itself as in the careful management required to reintroduce Luna into the pack without undue suspicion or outright hostility from the other wolves. It's a fascinating look into the complex social structure of a wolf pack.
