Celebrating MinnPost's 5th anniversary

Reaching five years is a big milestone -- especially in this rapidly changing media environment.
 
Since our launch in November, 2007, MinnPost has become a national leader in the nonprofit regional journalism world. We've received numerous journalism awards, grown to more than 20,000 visits a day and 1 million page views a month, and have attracted 3,600 donors including more than 1,200 sustaining members. Earlier this year we upgraded to a new content management system and redesigned the logo and the website.

We invite readers and supporters to join us on Monday, Nov. 12, 5:30 to 8 pm, at Solera, 900 Hennepin Ave in downtown Minneapolis, to celebrate all we've accomplished together. A brief program starting at 6:45 will feature entertainment and special guests.

We expect 400+ people to attend the celebration -- including journalists, influential community leaders, and philanthropic Minnesotans who appreciate our thoughtful approach to news. The event includes hearty hors d’oeuvres, birthday cake, a complimentary sangria, cash bar, silent auction and a unique holiday gift bazaar.
