Murder victims will be remembered in an event Tuesday at the Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center in St. Paul.
The sixth annual Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims will be hosted by the Ben Doran Foundation, founded in the name of a 15-old-murder victim to support families who've lost someone to murder.
The day of remembrance is designed "to pay tribute to and honor our nation’s and local victims of homicide and their surviving family members."
The event also honors organizations that provide support, advocacy and council to loved ones of murder victims.
The event is Tuesday at noon in the second-floor training room of the center, 425 Grove St.
Also participating are: victim service providers from the counties of Anoka, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey and Washington; Ramsey County Attorney John Choi; Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom; Ramsey County Sheriff Matt Bostrom; and family members of victims.
Similar remembrances will be held in Duluth and 30 other states.
