The Secretary of State’s Office launched a new tool on Tuesday that sets up an individualized, one-stop shop for voters to easily view candidate and ballot question information tailored to their location.

The site, called My Ballot, displays every candidate on a prospective voter’s ballot, plus links to campaign websites where available and the text of the two constitutional amendments.

It's designed to provide busy Minnesotans with the ability to make informed decisions on Election Day.

“As Secretary of State, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of voter education and providing voters access to information for them to make informed decisions in the upcoming election,” Mark Ritchie said in a press release. “My Ballot is a one-stop voter’s guide to individual General Election ballots and extends the services that my office provides to voters.”

The site also features sample ballots and links for voters to easily find their polling places, as well as information about absentee voting and voter registration.

“We expect quite a bit of traffic on this,” Ritchie said at the press event.

The Secretary of State’s Office typically receives about 1 million page views a month. That number roughly doubles to about 2 million closer to Election Day.
