Author John Fund was the featured speaker at a recent event in Saint Paul held by supporters of the Minnesota voting amendment. Fund is a long-time critic of voter fraud in U.S. elections, the topic of his latest book, "Who's Counting?: How Fraudsters and Bureaucrats Put Your Vote at Risk." In his talk, he makes the case for the proposed constitutional amendment requiring voters to present identification before voting in Minnesota and introducing provisional balloting, claiming that fighting voter fraud is a non-partisan issue. The Minnesota amendment is opposed by Democratic Secretary of State Mark Ritchie, who recently contributed a piece to MinnPost detailing the reasons for his opposition.
